Grammy Nominee Kenny Chesney Sets July AMP Concert Date; Tickets on Sale Friday

One of country music’s biggest stars and a 6-time Grammy nominee, Kenny Chesney, is returning to the Walmart AMP stage in 2018. Chesney will headline a July 12, 2018, concert at the AMP with opener Old Dominion; it is his third time to perform at the AMP. Tickets range from $60-$109, and they go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 19 through ticketmaster.com. Chesney is one of country music’s most prolific and successful acts, having sold over 30 million copies of his 20 albums, which produced more than 40 Top 10 singles on the Billboard charts – 29 of which have reached No. 1. Chesney is a 6-Academy of Country Music Awards winner (including four consecutive Entertainer of the Year awards from 2005 to 2008), as well as 6 awards from the Country Music Association. Weezer and The Pixies Coming to Arkansas Music Pavilion in 2018

Alternative rock fans can rejoice and prepare to unite next summer when Weezer and the Pixies bring their co-headlining show to the Arkansas Music Pavilion in Rogers on June 29, 2018. The two bands announced the joint tour, which features opener The Wombats, on Thursday, Nov. 2. The trek unites two of the biggest and most influential rock bands of the past 30 years for the first time on a full tour. Alternative rock kings The Pixies are touring in support of their 2016 release Head Carrier, and Weezer dropped its 11th studio album, Pacific Daydream, last week. “We’re all big Weezer fans,” Pixies frontman Black Francis (Frank Black) said in a statement, “so we’re really looking forward to this summer. We have a lot of respect for Weezer; they’re not afraid to take risks with their music.” Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and music starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 10, starting at $34.50 plus any applicable fees.
